Assassin's Creed Unity - PS4 Review (Console Monster)
Added: 23.11.2014 16:11 | 19 views | 0 comments
Console Monster writes: "It only feels like yesterday since I was gallivanting around the ocean seas in Assassin's Creed Black Flag. Even though I was strict on tackling the main story missions, I still to this day I havent found the time to completed it. But like Christmas, another Assassin's Creed is just around the corner, and this year brings two! It's time to burn the Black Flag and raise the French Tricolour - a flag born by the Paris militia during the French Revolution, an era in which we will be partaking in some assassin-based shenanigans in Assassins Creed Unity."

| Assassins Creed Rogue review By someone who finished Unity first | MMGN

Ben Salter of MMGN: For all my negatively and this is a very lazy game I could have copy and pasted my very positive Black Flag review, replaced Kenway with Cormac and altered the setting, and Id have done almost exactly what Ubisoft Sofia has. From an objective standpoint, there's nothing particularly wrong with it, but only if you havent played Unity, which enhances everything more than it has been given credit for by the masses, and are willing to play through exactly, and I mean exactly, the same thing as last year. That means it's only for the most hardcore of Assassins Creed fans, or those weirdos without a current-gen console or PC who ideally havent played Black Flag but in that case, they might as well just play Black Flag.

GR-UK writes: "On the other hand you may be glad to learn there are none of those often frustrating stealth missions. It's something. But if you've played Black Flag and were hoping for more of the same, you will be disappointed. While Rogue builds on the same foundation, it is all too obvious that it's the B-team that has developed this game. If you still haven't played Black Flag that's a way better experience as Assassin's Rogue never really fires on all cylinders."

Paul James writes "Assassins Creed Rogue is one for the fans of the series, those who will look past the fact that it essentially recycles Black Flag, pops it in a new setting, and is then sent out for consumption by the masses. Aside from an engaging narrative, that gives us an intriguing look at the Templar/Assassin conflict from the opposite side, Rogue doesnt really deliver us much that is new. A good game but only one I can recommend to the lovers of Assassins Creed lore, if not, then maybe just replay Black Flag or go get Unity."

The Assassins Creed games have had their ups and downs over the last few years, from the heights of Brotherhood to the lows of Assassins Creed III, and then redemption with Black Flag 12 months ago. This year is different though, because were about to see the efforts of the various Ubisoft teams on the latest generation of consoles. Assassins Creed Unity is here, and set in Paris in the late 1700s during a massive period of upheaval for the French. Is it revolutionary, or just plain ordinary?
